Siesta Key St. Patty’s Day Pub Crawl

Siesta Key Oyster Bar (5238 Ocean Blvd.) will be serving corned beef and cabbage along with drink specials in souvenir S.K.O.B. shot glasses and flasks, $4 Bud Light served in commemorative cups, plus T-shirts and other giveaways as well as a performance by FolkLab. The fun continues at 9 p.m. with more drink specials and live music as the Bloxx that Roxx hosts the annual Siesta Key St. Patty’s Day Pub Crawl. Main Street Live St. Patrick’s Day Party

Local reggae band Bootleg will be performing at this St. Patrick’s Day edition of Main Street Live. The event, on Old Main Street in downtown Bradenton, will be a huge block party featuring various vendors in addition to all the bars already lining the road. It’s officially from 5 p.m. to midnight but the revelry in the drinking establishments will continue until 2 a.m. Info: 941-896-8860

Gecko’s Grill & Pub Celebrates St. Paddy’s Day

The local Gecko’s chain has created St. Paddy’s Day specials featuring traditional Irish dishes including corned beef and cabbage made with locally-sourced cabbage from the restaurant’s farm partner Honeyside Farms in Sarasota. Crow’s Nest St. Patrick’s Day and Limerick Contest

The Young Irelanders

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in style with a performance by The Young Irelanders 8 p.m. at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall (777 N. Tamiami Trail). The group features eight performers, all in their 20s and 30s, combining traditional Irish, Celtic, folk, world, jazz, country and popular music sounds. Tickets are $15-$40.
