Rocket VR Health partners with Massachusetts General Hospital to co-develop VR digital therapeutic solution for stem cell patients // Auganix.org
Rocket VR Health announced a rather novel research agreement with the largest hospital of the Harvard Medical School to produce "population-specific care interventions" through modules integrating psychoeducation, therapy, and relaxation exercises all within VR environments. Creating a platform that can be experienced at home and under medical guidance could make this the breakthrough partnership that will broaden the acceptance of VR as a means of healing and improving the health of cancer patients.

Metaverse 2.0 Global Summit
Part of the Immerse Global Summit Series hosted by the VR/AR Association (VRARA), this two day event (March 9-10) will cover topics far too many topics to list ere, but a few sessions we're excited about are helping customers scale in the Metaverse, learning design best practices, and Metaverse law. Hopefully we'll see some of you at the virtual summit.

Top 10 lists aren't really our thing, and we're not highlighting this list of innovative companies because we agree with the ranking. We do see value in what they are doing with this list, and appreciate how they highlight some of the companies changing the way we use technology. There were a few on this list we hadn't heard of and will definitely feature some time in the future.

Mixed Reality without the need of a headset always looks like magic to us, and this display announced at CES back in 2020 was most likely delayed due to the pandemic halting global air travel. It's been on our minds due to its ability to show a dozen people personalized information on one display based on their viewing angle. That feels pretty magical to us.

Porket VR is a design concept for a cell phone case that includes fresnel lenses and an adjustable focal length to enjoy VR content on the go. It's a great idea for bringing an already established means for converting any mobile device into a VR viewer. A dedicated piece of hardware that isn't portable or collapsible won't be used often, but we feel that this design actually solves several problems with where other manufacturers missed the mark.
Commentary
There are far larger media outlets considering the effect of the invasion of Ukraine by Russia. As more countries and companies block access to social media, essential technology, and other services to that region of the world we will surely see its effects on more than just gasoline prices. Content and hardware coming from companies in the region will also find themselves cut off through no fault of their own. Similar for users who are active and contributing to the global VR community, due to their location they may also find themselves cut off from participating in social experiences and communities.
A global Metaverse needs us all, and without the influence of all people around the entire world we truly can't have the world that we all envision but don't always have the ability to put into words.
We do hope the conflicts cease soon, and hope that the safety, liberty, dignity of the citizens of every nation can be preserved. And we hope, like most of you, to see an end to this conflict that endangers more than just an inclusive Metaverse.
