Great conversations - you’ll want to get out your sketchbook

I found Nishant’s podcast because of an interview he did with Sandi Hester - I follow her on YouTube. If I’m honest I’m usually not a huge podcast listener. But there’s something that I’m really enjoying with each of his chats. His questions and in fact the whole conversation seem so organic, although I know he plans and does his homework (he shared a spread in his notebook of his process). I love how long these are because he gets in-depth and I feel like when the podcast ends I know so much about the person and a little more about Nishant’s journey as well.

A favorite!

I am a fine art painter and LOVE this podcast. The conversations are deep and introspective…all the topics are things a often think and journal about. The episodes are long…perfect for listening to while I work or during longer car rides. Nishant does a beautiful job in these juicy conversations digging deep to the root of why we make art. I like that these aren’t “surface” discussions, rather, they explore the philosophies and processes of experienced artists. I’m so grateful for this gem! Thank you!!!—Megan Carty, @megan_carty_art.

10 out of 5 stars!

I am just a few weeks into urban sketching. Being a long time drawer of aliens and monsters, I never realized how little I know about perspective and the real world. During my quest for as much information as my brain can handle, I have taken online classes, read blogs, and watched live draws, but none of them have helped in the way that this podcast has. The questions are intelligent, well thought out, insightful, and inspirational. The guests have been wonderful and has helped expand my pallet of teachers in my urban sketching fledgling phase. Thank you.
