If you’ve ever seen the Sheats-Goldstein Residence from movies like The Big Lebowski and Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle and thought you might enjoy lounging around in a home like that, here’s your chance.

A groovy pad by the same architect, John Lautner (who was a protege of Frank Lloyd Wright), has come on the market in Alta Loma, in Rancho Cucamonga, Southern California. Although it’s not quite as dramatic as the aforementioned property, the midcentury lair, known as the Tolstoy house, features plenty of flair, least of all the architect’s signature curved concrete volumes.

Designed in 1961, the 3.28-acre property is actually made up of three detached structures shaped like sectors of a circle connected by a daring taut-steel cable roof system topped by light-weight wood sheathing. Windows are formed by a semicircle cutout, with this circular motif popping up all around the home.

In the 2,000-square-foot main house are two bedrooms, two baths, an open kitchen, and—the pièce de résistance—an incredible raised living area. Think the ultimate conversation pit, but reversed, with an arched concrete fireplace and built-in concrete seating, to boot.
