Game Devs of Color Expo 2022 - Game Application
Thank you for your interest in the Game Devs of Color Expo, which is taking place September 15th-18th, 2022, entirely online. https://gamedevsofcolorexpo.com

Games @ GDoCExpo has 4 main components, and this form for any/all of them:
• Game Dev Interviews (interviews with our host that are part of our conference)
• Gradient Convergence (our Steam event with games on sale, demos, and wishlist)
• The GDoCExpo Direct (our Direct with new and exclusive video updates from devs)
• Game Dev Grants (every year we award ~6 game dev grants)

It's possible to be accepted to some of above and not others.

We do not provide written feedback for applicants.

We're looking for games that stand out. They can be polished commercial titles, or they can be small and personal works that make a statement. Maybe they're from beloved genres, or maybe they're experimental and surprising. We are very interested in free web games and tabletop games. It's open to released and upcoming projects alike, but we are less interested in games that are very old or that still require many more years of development. We'll especially keep an eye out for projects that translate well visually and conceptually through online video.

APPLICATION TIMELINE:
• APRIL 30, 2022 -- Submissions close at 11:59pm Eastern Time.
• JUNE/JULY 2022 -- Curation team reviews applications and begins sending acceptance, waitlist, and rejection letters. Due to the high volume of applicants, this process may take weeks.

ONBOARDING TIMELINE:
• JULY 2022 -- Scheduling and gameplay footage for Dev Interviews.
• JULY 2022 -- Video asset submission for the GDoCExpo Direct.
• AUGUST 2022 -- Steam event info intake.
• SEPTEMBER 15-18, 2022 -- The #GDoCExpo online event.

The above timelines are guidelines and are subject to change.

Thanks for applying! When you complete this form, you’ll receive an email confirmation and a link to edit your submission. Send any questions to games@gamesdevsofcolor.org
