From Bounty Hunter to Author: A Conversation With Greg Overacker (The Hunt for Brianna Maitland)

From Bounty Hunter to Author: A Conversation With Greg Overacker (The Hunt for Brianna Maitland)

Greg Overacker, is a bounty hunter and private investigator turned author. Greg recently wrote a book entitled, The Hunt for Brianna Maitland: The Relentless Pursuit of Answers to One of Vermont's Biggest Mysteries.

If you think you know everything there is to know about Brianna Maitland’s case, I can assure you -you don’t. For nearly 20 years, Greg Overacker, Bounty Hunter and Private Investigator has been investigating Brianna’s disappearance. Brianna was 17  years old when she disappeared without a trace, from Montgomery, Vermont, on March 19, 2004. Brianna went missing just 40 days after Maura Murray was last seen in Woodville, New Hampshire. 80 miles separate the locations where the young women’s vehicles were found.  Nearly 20 years ago, Greg saw Brianna’s missing poster at a rest stop and offered his help to the Maitland family. He has been searching  for Brianna ever since.

The Hunt for Briana Maitland, The Relentless Pursuit of Answers to one of Vermont’s Biggest Mysteries, reveals new case information, detailed timelines, and several obscure persons of interest. Get the latest on the case and learn more about why Greg thinks Brianna’s disappearance could be connected to Maura Murrays. I highly recommend you pick up a copy today at bloatedtoe.com.
If you have any information regarding Brianna's disappearance, please contact the Vermont State Police at (802)-524-5993 or the State Police Crime Information Tip Line at (802)-241-5355.

    Who Killed Sherri Lynn Swalley?

    Who Killed Sherri Lynn Swalley?

On Sunday,  December 23, 1973,  John Swalley, his 5 year son and 8 year old daughter, Sherri, left Columbus, Ohio and began their journey to Disney World in Orlando, Florida. The park had just opened in 1971 and John thought this trip would be the perfect  Christmas gift for his children. But even the most perfectly laid plans could not have prepared this family for the evil that awaited them.

It's been 50 years since Sherri  was murdered during a pitstop in Atlanta, GA. Her case remains unsolved.

My wish this holiday season is for Sherri’s case to be solved and justice to be served. If you know anything about the 1973 murder of Sherri Lynn Swalley, please contact the Atlanta Police Department Homicide Unit at (404) 546-4235 or Crime Stoppers Atlanta at (404) 577-TIPS(8477)
Big thanks to Retired Homicide and Cold Case Detective, John Dawes for sharing his expertise in Cold Case Investigations.

    Let's Solve a Cold Case!

In Part 3 of The Life and Disappearance of Lonene Ray Rogers,  you will hear Aaron describe the day he says his father tried to kill him. Glene and Alison will share how they discovered that  Bud had a secret, a skeleton in his closet that no-one knew about …not Lonnie, the Raffle family, the original detectives, child protective services or the current investigator. In an interview, taped in August, Alison will discuss what she has been doing over the past 18 months to bring her mother home.
It has been 41 years, where is Lonene Ray  Rogers and will justice ever be served?

Lonene Ray Rogers was last seen by her husband Bud Rogers at 12:45 am on January 7, 1981.  According to Bud, the couple argued and he went to sleep. At 2:00 am Bud woke up and discovered that Lonnie was not in bed next to him. He initially assumed that she was angry and had gone to sleep on the couch. When he realized that she wasn’t on the couch he concluded that she left him for another man.

True Crime PI is Amazing

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Dana is amazing doing amazing things.

Lexikakis ,

FANTASTIC

Dana is an incredible host. Her voice is so easy to listen to, the intro music is fun and at the heart of it all is her impeccable storytelling ability. It’s refreshing. She follows the facts and you will learn so much about these stories. Season 1 and Season 2 are different, but both are worth binging. I really admired the interview she did during season 2 with Lonene Rogers’ family - it was compassionate and compelling.

Aben Sur ,

Each Season is so Unique

Great into, music, voices and format. Keeps you wanting more! Dana is truly invested in each case and brings to light so many reasons why there are so many cold cases.
