Conference Tickets and Travel Grants Form
We have two tickets for GR8Conf EU http://gr8conf.eu designated for members of an underrepresented group or students.  To help someone from an underrepresented group or student attend, we have setup this application to award the tickets.  Although Gr8Ladies is coordinating this effort, it does not need to be awarded to a woman, but can go to anyone in an underrepresented group in the Groovy community.  Financial need is not a requirement for the award.  We also have a little bit of funding designated for recipients of the diversity ticket and it should cover a flight from any major airport in Europe and a basic hotel room in Copenhagen.

This application will close on April 15 and the recipients will be selected before May 1.

The essay section will be the basis of the judging and any identifying information will be removed in order to make it fairer.  Please keep in mind that the essays will be the only information used to determine the recipient so make sure it contains all you want us to know. Also, since the conference is in English, the responses should also be in English.

If you have any questions about the award, please email jenn@gr8ladies.org  Please note that Jenn only handles the logistics and is not a judge.  The judges are a group of anonymous volunteers from the Groovy community. At this time, the GR8Conf EU tickets only have a limited budget to pay travel and accommodation expenses. If your company would like to sponsor someone's travel to GR8Conf Europe, please let us know.
