Usonian Perforated Boards Research

I am an independent researcher who needs financial support for an extended visit to the Frank Lloyd Wright Archives at Columbia University in New York City.

The purpose for my study trip is to complete final research before the publication of a book on the designs of  Usonian Perforated Boards.

The money will be used to cover transportation, lodging and materials, for a two week study period, poring over the original architectural drawings of Usonian houses 1936-1959.

The funds are needed by January-February of 2017 when appointments at the Archives are booked.

The primary sources of the Archives at Columbia University are crucial to the finalization of this project.

Intrigued by the unique Weltzheimer House perforated design, I assembled & documented the only catalog of built Usonian perforated board designs. (The image shown is a compilation of computer renderings for the designs. ) My work is important to the understanding of FLW's  final decades as a Teacher and businessman at his Taliesin school and these simple designs have been neglected all too long.

Many Frank Lloyd Wright homeowners, as well as, people who appreciate his work have contributed to this research and are looking forward to the culmination of this work, affectionately called, "The Perf Project".
