Axonista appoints former AOL President

Axonista, the interactive video solutions provider, has appointed former AOL President of Video and Studios, Dermot McCormack to its board. McCormack will join Axonista’s board as a Non-Executive Director to provide valuable expertise and experience as the company extends its footprint in the US market.

McCormack has an extensive background across emerging digital content and online video technologies, having held numerous roles with content providers and brands. In his most recent role as President of Video and Studios at AOL, he led original content creation, studio management and AOL’s video and OTT business across a wide variety of brands, including 14 AolOn Channels, The Huffington Post, AOL, Techcrunch, Engadget and AolOn Network.

Commenting on his appointment, McCormack said: “We’re in the middle of a period of huge revolutionary change for the whole industry when it comes to interactive video, and it’s only going to gain further momentum over the next couple of years.
