Premium inflight headphones have a new home in the market. Phitek/Ampehnol, developer of a leading line of noise-cancelling headphones and a unique, magnetic jack that reduces damaged gear, licensed its offerings to Linstol for future production and distribution.
Linstol’s market leadership within the aviation industry, combined with Amphenol Phitek’s historical and ongoing development of high performance engineered audio products, will provide airlines a full suite of high performing audio solutions now and into the future. Amphenol is pleased to have found a perfect complimentary partner to move forward the Phitek brand.
– Aaron Gough, General Manager Amphenol Phitek
The deal takes advantage of Phitek’s technology and the production capabilities, supply chain proficiency and customer service of Linstol to optimize the overall offering. It also comes at a time where there is significant uncertainty about what the future of the premium on-board experience will look like, especially in the short term.
Mark Russell, Linstol’s CEO, notes that the deal allows Linstol to “continue to raise the bar for our airline partners,” and that the company is “committed to driving the technology and engineering that has made the Phitek brand a benchmark product.
The Phitek product line joins Linstol’s in-house headphones brand in the portfolio. Linstol also offers a wider variety of amenity kits, comfort products such as pillows and blankets, catering supplies, and retail on board products for airlines.
