Knocked Conscious with Mark Puls addresses questions of society, culture, science, spirituality, philosophy, and more. Its goal is to stimulate thought, challenge beliefs, formulate new ideas, then challenge those new ideas. It intends to bridge the gap between science and spirituality, as both are very real. The podcast is also designed to be a beacon, calling to those who seek long-format, nuanced conversations.
Beer Googgles (double-E, double-O, double-G) is basically a show where we get drunk and look-up random $#!T on the internet. It’s the lighter side of our personalities. ***Disclaimer*** We are childish boys who make inappropriate jokes and some of them are extremely insensitive.

2/28/2024: A conversation about climate w/ Dr. Wesley Ingram, expert in the petroleum industry
Climate change is the main topic of this podcast, but we discuss other stuff.
X: @CarbonCow
Rumble Channel: https://rumble.com/user/CarbonPsyops
Dr. Wesley Ingram has spent over 15 years in the petroleum industry. During this time, he has developed professional expertise in subsurface analysis covering many disciplines including geological and engineering evaluation of subsurface formations along with their potential for economical reserves of oil and gas. He worked in the oil-service industry as a subject matter expert as well as for operators as an exploration Geologist and Petrophysicist involved with drilling and producing oil and gas reserves. Currently, Dr. Ingram has his own consulting company, and provides specialized subsurface expertise to smaller oil and gas companies - specific services and expertise includes: (1) Petrophysics, and log analysis, (2) reservoir characterization, (3) log-based oil/gas reserves, (4) well steering, (5) geochemistry; (6) core testing and analysis programs with interpretation. Prior to entering the Petroleum industry, Dr. Ingram studied geological sciences at Florida State University where he obtained his B.Sc. and M.Sc., for his master’s he focused on marine
geology and biostratigraphy, as well as developed an interest in paleoclimatology. He then attended and received his Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina where he studied biogeochemistry, geochemistry and marine geology, which continued his interest in past climates and deep-time carbon cycles. His dissertation involved study of marine gas-hydrate deposits and petroleum seeps along the deep-water Gulf of Mexico continental slope.

Knocked Conscious 2/14/2024: A conversation w/ Kevin Mackie, Covid vaccine protester
On July 8, 2022, a group protesting against COVID vaccines being given to 5-11 year-olds at a vaccine clinic at the children’s Discovery Museum in Acton, MA was assaulted by local resident Fred Smith (the man in the video in the brown shirt). Smith was charged with 3 counts of Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon (a pipe), 1 count of Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (a pipe), Assault and Battery, and Disorderly Conduct.
On February 1, 2023, all of Smith’s charges were dropped with the exception of the Assault and Battery charges. For those, he agreed to 9 months of pretrial probation consisting of anger management classes.
Kevin Mackie, one of the protestors (the man in the video with the long beard), defended the group against Smith’s assault. For it, he is charged with Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon (a megaphone), Assault and Battery, and Trespass. Despite the prosecution possessing the video of the interaction showing that Smith was the first aggressor, with witnesses testifying to the same, they continue to prosecute Mr. Mackie instead of Mr. Smith. The judges are also refusing to dismiss the trespassing charge even after being presented with the notarized deed showing that Mr. Mackie was protesting on a public easement. The same charge has already been dismissed for the other protestors at a show cause hearing before a court clerk.
Emails obtained by one of Mr. Mackie’s fellow protesters in a public records request (attached) show that Mr. Mackie’s prosecution has been unduly prejudiced by the direct involvement of former Massachusetts Secretary of Health and Human Services Marylou Sudders, along with her public relations team, in their decision to prosecute Mr. Mackie. In the emails, Secretary Sudders tells her public relations team that Massachusetts criminal justice officials will help them prevent future protests against COVID vaccines by Mr. Mackie and the other protesters. She tells her team that she is “happy to discuss off line what they are doing.”

Two Kinds of Catharsis
I love the alternating serious/silly model. It fills a lot of emotional needs.
