    The Gin Palace

    The Gin Palace

In the first ever - and possibly last ever - episode, Benjo tells the story of the ship with three names. Corrections:

The instruction plaques were in Turkish rather than Arabic.

There may have been more than two ferrets.

Exceptional, this podcast has me hooked

Fascinating stories, unsung hero’s and incredible villains, all told in a beautiful way by the careful, respectful and always interesting Benjo. I can’t wait for the next episode.

Wonderful, unexpected and fascinating

If history was this engaging and authentic, I would never have dropped it in school.

Benjo is humurous, respectful and passionate about the stories he tells. I really can't recommend The Quilkin podcast enough, even for those with less than a passing interest in history.

Excellent, just keeps getting better!

These pods are great! I tend to listen to sports, conversational/comedic pods rather than deeper subjects, but these three pods so far have been amazing and for every single one I’ve gone on several deep Wikipedia-dives into the people and events mentioned. Brilliantly edited too, at no point slow or sluggish. Get on it, you’ll very much enjoy it!
