Still Sick of Warnings that don’t exist

Every yellow warning I have had opens the app which says we are updating our servers or servers can’t find that alert or alert never ever exists. But the app shows a yellow alert when none are said to exist from alert and yet I can open the yellow alert and read the alert that doesn’t exist or not on our servers turning off the alerts as none have ever existed or can be found or your servers but the app has them.
This review below was months ago below and still not fixed.
Keep getting repeated weather warnings, press on it to open app and it says it’s not available, yet app that was opened by it, shows a yellow band saying yellow warning, press on it in app, and it tells me the yellow warning I first pressed on that didn’t exist when it opened the app but app showed me the yellow threat of rain or wind and I get the report.
Pointless push weather warning notifications that don’t exist. And don’t work so turning them off, pointless.

Not working properly - Aug 20

This app now has a 4-hour gap between the current time and upcoming weather! Not really much use. We are currently experiencing a severe thunderstorm and yet the app says only a 70% chance. More like 100% guaranteed!

This used to be a very reliable app, but since the updates on 12th Aug it now constantly shows ‘No Data’ against places and time slots. It’s random as to which locations and what time slots but constantly occurring. Whole days can be marked out like this. Sometimes it recovers after restarting the app, and sometimes it doesn’t. It can take several minutes on other occasions.
The new design may be something to do with this, but it tends to indicate a lack of rigour during testing - so often the Achilles Heel of software development - and given the importance of the Net Office weather data in the current conditions in the UK, that is a failing of project management.
As others have also reported, the detail shown in the App bears little or no resemblance to reality. As an example, today it says that there might be a thunderstorm with a 60% chance. It’s actually monsoon rain and a major storm, 45 minutes before the possibility and the App shows light rain. The granularity needs to increase as does the live data update frequency.

Very good overall, but one limitation.

I rate this app because the forecast seems pretty reliable on the whole – certainly short-term. The video weather forecast is useful for getting a broader picture than the local one, and it’s kept up to date.

My one complaint is the symbols used to summarise the weather for the day. There needs to be more options, as there can be a string of cloud symbols for the week, which is very disheartening to see, but sometimes when you open up the forecast for one of those days, you see a lot of symbols for sunny intervals during the day. I saw one day where there were sunny intervals symbols from 1pm to 9pm, which made for a very nice day in reality, but if you looked at the symbols for the day, it was just cloud, presumably because the hours of cloud, including the less relevant hours during the night, mathematically outnumbered the sunny interval ones. So there needs to be something that reflects the overall picture of the day better in that instance – perhaps a cloud with sun rays coming from it, but without the sun showing clearly as it does for sunny intervals.
