Strongarm of the Sofa ,

It’s getting a bit stuffy in the sitting room …

Great stuff - BUT! - what was once a charming, uncomplicated and slightly cat-smelling celebration of old telly now has a whiff of the woke … most recent ep. featured an article from a dull-ish, pious regular bemoaning The Waltons for offering a white perspective on American history, while there was much tut-tutting from the hosts because - in the past - ethnic casting wasn’t always as nervously over-policed as it now. Smacked wrists, you naughty old past! Shame if the scolds take over the sitting room, ‘cos this used to companionable and fun!

Brilliant idea

I’m so glad I’ve found this better late than never. My TV watching goes back to the early 60s. This is reminding me of shows I’d forgotten & adding info about shows I love. Keep on going it’s worth it! Carol

Truly awful nonsense

I was hoping for some intelligent insight into these programmes but I found the content of both commentators to be sadly inane. Such a shame that they are incapable of knowing what would engage the listener
