Buena Park will soon be home to Orange County’s second Tesla Motors showroom.

The Palo Alto manufacturer of high-end electric vehicles is expected to open a 23,000-square-foot dealership and service center on 2.5 acres this summer on Auto Center Drive within the Buena Park Auto Center.

Tesla is moving into a vacant dealership formerly occupied by Premier Chevrolet, which moved to another showroom at the auto center.

Tesla will make significant upgrades to the property, where the company will sell and service vehicles, according to Avison Young, the Toronto commercial real estate firm that negotiated the lease.

“They will be bringing new, cutting edge, exciting technology to the city, including eight publicly accessible super charging stations for Tesla owners,” said Joel Rosen, Buena Park’s director of community development.

Tesla opened a 10,000-square-foot showroom and a 27,000-square-foot service center in November in Costa Mesa.

The auto maker also operates stores in the Brea Mall, Fashion Island in Newport Beach and the Shops at Mission Viejo.
