Frank Lloyd Wright’s Marden House For Sale

Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation | Nov 6, 2018

The Frank Lloyd Wright-designed home is part of a 3.2 acre estate overlooking Virginia’s Potomac River.

The Falls, an estate in the Washington region of Virginia, has been listed for $62,950,000. Included in the 9-bedroom, 13-bathroom estate is Frank Lloyd Wright’s Marden House.

Frank Lloyd Wright’s Luis Marden House was designed in 1953 for National Geographic writer and photographer, Luis Marden and his wife Ethel.

The Marden House is a two-bedroom, two-bathroom space, built using the standard concrete block.

The home offers incredible views of the Potomac River below, and a clerestory fills the living room space with natural light.

The house’s extensive retaining walls support the structure, which sits on top of a steep hill. A “promenade” stretches across the eastern side of the house.
