4 Simple Amenities That Will Keep Your Guests Coming Back!

by The MyGuestbook Travel Expert

Your properties are maintained and cleaned with well-kept linens and a stocked game closet. Families are swarming for the opportunity to gather into a homey vacation rental instead of a hotel, and these simple amenities can go a long way to ensuring your guests return!

  1. Wifi: Even for guests wanting to disconnect from the monotony of life, we all must check emails, watch Netflix, or play games online. Studies show that 90% of all vacationers still use their smartphones on vacation. Because of this, most families expect to have some sort of Wifi in the home. If not, this can serve as a deterrent from wanting to return given the necessity of the internet in this day and age. When they asked travelers what their most-desired amenities are, FlipKey found that free Wifi topped the list.
"If you already have Wifi in your home, be sure to advertise this on your listing! Provide log in details to your guest if necessary so they easily connect. For as low as $30/month, internet access is a must."- FlipKey

2. Laundry: Having a washer and dryer in the unit is huge, especially for larger families or those with children. Having the accessibility of washing clothes on site without trudging to a laundromat can help families make the decision to stay at your rental that much easier. Families can stay up on laundry which alleviates one more stress upon return.

3. TVs: Those on vacation want entertainment, and one of the prime ways to do this is through a television. Many travelers will of course have a laptop, but having a tv in the living room helps families come together, watch movies, or keep track of happenings around the world.

4. Pool: If you're in a warmer area, being able to have a pool for family and friends traveling together is desired by kids and adults alike.

It's simple little measures that make a big difference to guests and can keep them returning year after year!

We provide all the things of a home (except food). We have a basket in the bath linen shelf labeled "If you forgot something, check here". In it is lotion, toothpaste, tooth brushes and the little things one might have forgotten to throw in their suitcase. Trying to prevent them to have to run to the store immediately.

We provide starter kits for the house which lasts them about 3 days- I agree the more hassle free the homes are the happier the guests are going to be- one of the new features that is coming into MyGuestbook early this year is the ability for guests to order all their supplies and have it delivered to the house on the day of arrival this way they don't have to worry about going to the store when they arrive. Do you think this will help guests?Do you think they will use this kind of service when they are planning their vacation?
