Why is There No Pie Emoji?

Most of us have that one emoji we think should be there—for me, it's pie. Why do we get a cake emoji, a cookie emoji, and an ice cream emoji, but no pie? This is a serious, worldly question I asked almost a year ago—and a question that inspired the latest episode of our podcast, Burnt Toast.

And—according to recent, serendipitous news, you can expect to see a freshly baked pie emoji in June of 2017.
